As anticipated, Balena was de-lish! Way better than the former Landmark [cough, cough]. Sunday, we celebrated the birth of one of my favorite gals and, one too many beers later, ended the evening with a memorial view of our beautiful city.
It's a packed weekend folks. We started with the Sox/Indians game [first game of the season] with friends and then headed to the David Guetta concert. We are heading to Balena tonight for a birthday dinner- So pumped to try it!
When we were in Texas a couple weeks ago, my friend told me about this cute boutique near the UT, Austin campus called C. Jane, where I ended up getting this delicate "K" necklace by Sugar Bean and this Texas shirt.
Singer22 also sells a variety of Sugar Bean Jewelry like this sideways cross necklace Kourtney Kardashian is wearing:
Last night, the BF and I concluded our evening with a little gelato and some people watching. Whispers Cafe, in the heart of the Viagra Triangle has the most delicious assortment of gelato flavors. We went with strawberry cheesecake, molto delizioso!
I don't fancy myself a "neat freak," but I do try to make my bed every morning. Mainly, because I think it's the most alluring piece of furniture in the room and I like the way it looks. If you happen to be at HomeGoods and find my mirrored nightstand's mate, pleaselet me know! :)
This past weekend we were in the lone star state for a somewhat last minute trip to Houston and Austin. Holy hot down there! Despite having to constantly wipe my sweaty upper lip [attractive, I know], we had an amazing time and I can't wait to plan my next visit to Austin.
(A little taste of Houston)
(Walking around after din at La Condesa)
(View of Congress Bridge from our hotel- We waited for a solid hour for the bats to fly out- never happend)
For the first time ever, our bowling team, ROLLING BALLS! was in the running for some major cash money. [Was...] But, last night's playoff game concluded our season and although I'm sad to see it go, my liver is probably quite grateful. It was a very memorable year that no one will remember, but we did have a few good games in there. Check it:
We started off right with a little vino at my friend's amazing apartment. Just look at that view...
I don't know about you, but I'm all about those one-of-a-kind pieces that you simply can't find at your standard department stores (without everyone and their mom having it too). If the feeling is mutual, I'd like you to meet SARCA, an awesome boutique on Wabash, that carries unique, high-quality, unrivaled clothing and accessories. They carry DAMEN + DIVISION, a very bohemian and vintage, hand-made jewelry line by Chicagoan Sonia Barrett Esler, unreal. I couldn't resist this Double Bali necklace, along with some other items cough-cough:
I also have my eye on this I Hate Camping necklace:
The staff are equally as fabulous as the inventory, so stop by SARCA xoxo
My apartment building is pretty old, however, the vintage moldings and French doors are right up my alley. I love to decorate, but with limited space, a girl’s gotta get creative. I like to take advantage of shelves and space savers wherever possible. They are a great way to achieve your desired look while maximizing your space.
